2012
My first big even of 2012 was my 1/2 birthday
at Bright Star which I celebrated by eating lunch with Betty. It's really something that this restaurant extends the
same invitation to a person on a half birthday that it does on the actual date of birth. I've always made a big deal
out of my half birthday because my daddy and I had birthdays exactly six months apart. Of course, he always paid more
attention to my half birthday than to his own. Okay, you guessed it. I was a spoiled brat.
Anna June always has a big crowd of relatives
and friends at her birthday parties. Of course, who would refuse an invitation? These parties have always been
at her Uncle Rusty's, the best barbeque in Jefferson County. A.J. got tons of presents, and we all had a great time
eating Rusty's delicious food. Here you can see her blowing out the candles on her slice of birthday pie. Yummmmmmmm.......

Fun Friday of shopping and eating
in Montgomery with Betty. This was our second such adventure this year. The first was in Leeds, followed by lunch
at...(where else?) Rusty's. Looking forward to when we can hit the post-holiday sales. Now, that'll be real fun.

Highlands Presbyterian Church has been brightly decked in red and white for the Advent Season in anticipation of the celebration
of our Savior's birth on Christmas which will come on a Sunday this year................................................................
One of the biggest parts of Christmas
is always having time with the family. This year we enjoyed dinner together and gift and game time at Jerry and Renee's
house.
After a fun couple of days in Montgomery
doing all that after-Christmas looking and a little buying, I am now in Gulf Shores to finish the Christmas holidays.
It's always special to visit with Wanda, and that's just what I'm doing now..............................

Santa's been busy under my tree.
Here's hoping everyone had as great a Chrisstmas
as I had. Since I'm planning a trip for later this week, I will be extending my fun. It will be a great chance
to see some friends and relatives. What a great way to end 2011. I just can't wait to see what wonderful fun adventures 2012 has in store for me.
I know next year will be great for me, and I really hope your New Year will be special for you. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Just like all good things, the vacation must come
to an end. I head home tomorrow morning. Well, I do have some work to do. Happy New Year!
